Introductory Post

The idea for this blog came about because I have so many friends who are looking for Mr. Right. The Mr. Right who has all these qualifications, amazing attributes and a stable job (read: personality). Some have gone the more traditional route in being set up by friends. That could be a disaster waiting to happen - or a two and a half year old marriage. Or some have dated around for years and are still in a slump.

Or the best one yet.

You've been set up by the well-intentioned but more often ill-guided mothers (or aunts, grandmas??, older cousins, sisters) who think just because he is 5'10, is an engineer and owns a house, you will wed in May and move right on in. Not so, ladies.

You know what you want and you don't want to "settle." But in the process, here are a few hilarious (and sweet and successful) stories of being "set up" by co-workers, family, friends, even match-makers a la Mulan.

The Fiascos and the (successful) Feats.

Enjoy.
